first_imgThe Tuscaloosa Museum of Art is closing its doors at the end of the month.Westervelt Company’s former CEO Jack Warner was an avid American art collector, and his wife, Susan Warner, said he always loved sharing it.“He loved sharing his art, he loved having audiences to talk to, to educate them about the artwork,” Susan Warner said. “He just shared his enthusiasm with them and he shared his personal story about what the art meant to him.”The company, which owns most of the collection, began selling some of that art back in 2012. Warner died at the age of 99 in February 2017.If you’d like to visit the museum before it closes for good Aug. 31, it’s located at 1400 Jack Warner Parkway. They’re open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, and 1 to 6 p.m. on Sunday.last_img read more
