The accident at Soesdyke, EBD resulted in the death of a maleThe PPP 8497 Allion motor car that struck the pedestrianpedestrian who was struck down while attempting to cross the Public Road.Police revealed that this accident occurred at 03:00h Sunday when the driver of the PPP 8497 Allion motorcar, a police constable, was reportedly taking injured constable, Gavin Gentle in his personal vehicle to the Diamond Diagnostic Centre. According to information received, the driver of PPP 8497 allegedly swerved from the pedestrian who was said to be on the centre of the road when he was struck down by the constable’s car. Gentle sustained injuries as a result of the collision. It was not clear if he sustained additional injuries as result of the second accident. Investigations into both matters are continuing.
