Holness, who defeated the PNP’s Patrick Roberts to retain his St Andrew West Central seat, will be joined in Parliament by his wife Juliet, who defeated Imani Duncan – Price to secure the St Andrew East Rural constituency. PNP’s deputy general secretary Julian Robinson said: “We have clearly lost a number of seats but the overall picture is very close so we will wait on the final figures.” Asked if the PNP has been taken by surprise, Robinson said, “We knew a number of seats were close but we obviously never expected to lose that many.” “We knew there were some marginals but we expected to win some of the marginals,” he added. The PNP leadership is expected to concede shortly in front of a small, somber crowd at the party’s Old Hope Road headquarters. The Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) will be declared winner of the 2016 General Elections after unseating the People’s National Party (PNP) at today’s polls. JLP party leader Andrew Holness arrived at the party’s Belmont Road headquarters a short while ago, where he was greeted by a large and jubilant crowd of party supporters.

We just need to focus on certain areas that we want and don’t fall on the same stuff in the next one.”But for the Fil-Am sniper, he doesn’t want San Miguel to fall on the trap of playing the waiting game, saying that his team must find a way to rectify its miscues this early than feel sorry in the future.“We just got to get better at the things that we make mistakes on and learn from them,” he said, highlighting the poor start that saw the Beermen trail by 15 early, 25-10.“Of course, you want to play the full 48 minutes and that’s the key. If we could play the full 48 minutes, we could set the tone and play our style of brand. We can’t play two quarters, two-and-a-half, three-and-a-half, we got to play four quarters. That’s the key of beating any team. We can’t to come out and be down. We got to play the full four quarters.”And it starts in practice as San Miguel eyes to bounce back against Alaska on Saturday in Angeles City in Pampanga. Walker’s Dead Metaphor, toured with Canadian Stage’s live film noir Helen Lawrence and performed in The Public Servant, which she co-created with Common Boots Theatre. But there was one problem.“I wanted to say things. And I wanted to have more control over what I was saying. I had this urge to be creating my own work and touring my own work,” McGee says over the phone. Facebook Twitter Google+LinkedInPinterestWhatsApp#Bahamas, September 4, 2017 – Nassau – It is unfortunate that Mr. Roberts did not take the time to avail himself of the facts with respect to the non payment of workers. That is, if his true intention was to ensure the well being of those employees.Approximately three hundred and thirty two (332) contract workers from the Ministry of Education were not paid on time, due to the fact that their salaries had been “coded”, as their initial contract period had expired and the necessary adjustment had not been made to the system. The matter has been addressed with the requisite files sent to the respective banks for posting on Friday afternoon. Most if not all of these persons should receive their salaries on Monday, September 4th.Do note that the Ministry of Finance continues to work through a litany of unresolved financial and human resource issues left behind by the former PLP administration so as to ensure that all legitimately engaged persons receive their due compensation. The government will not be distracted by idle and duplicitous voices who – when they had their time – squandered the people’s money, and cared little about the actual well-being of Bahamians.Press Release: BIS Facebook Twitter Google+LinkedInPinterestWhatsApp Related Items:
