Japan to send top prosecutor to Sri Lanka

Japan told the Council it will assist Sri Lanka as it looks to achieve true National reconciliation. (Colombo Gazette) Japan is to send a top  prosecutor to Sri Lanka as the Government looks to address human rights concerns through a domestic process.The UN Human Rights Council in Geneva was told today that Motoo Noguchi, a former international judge of the Supreme Court Chamber at the Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia, will be visiting Sri Lanka next month.
